AdultVest Set to Begin Monthly Investor Meetings
The first meeting will take place this week at the AdultVest offices, with subsequent meetings every month thereafter. As the meetings grow, they will move into larger spaces such as hotel meeting rooms or private clubs. Locations will be announced one week prior to each meeting date.
Each meeting will actually be a two-day process. On the last Wednesday of each month, AdultVest executives will listen to presentations from adult business owners, and the following day the most well-prepared companies with the best opportunities will be presented in person to investors at the investor meeting.
According to AdultVest CEO Francis Koenig, he and his team will meet tomorrow with about 20 adult companies to assess the viability of the investment opportunities presented to them. The following day, 10-15 vetted investors will attend the first meeting. Adult company CEOs will not be afforded the chance to pitch directly to investors this first time around, Koenig added.
"The meetings are geared to bring investors and companies together," he said. "During the meetings, deals will be passed around the table and we will all discuss the various levels of interest in the deals presented. In certain circumstances, if we feel they are ready, we will invite company CEOs to make their own presentations."
AdultVest investor meeting attendees will include private equity, hedge fund, venture capital and angel investment fund managers, as well as individual investors, investment bankers, financial advisors, and the AdultVest investment committee in charge of managing the AdultVest Bacchus Investment Fund and Priapus Investment Fund.
According to AdultVest.com Marketplace Statistics recently added to the AdultVest website, 647 adult companies have submitted investment proposals to the company, with 3380 vetted investors in the pool of interested parties. There have also been 1833 due diligence requests made by potential investors.
A due diligence request is made by an investor after they have reviewed an adult business profile available to them on the AdultVest website. Further confidential information is then provided to them. The next step in the process is the monthly investor meetings.
Koenig added that while AdultVest is reviewing all types and levels of investment proposals, they are particularly interested in investment opportunities involving Internet companies.
"We're specifically looking for Internet companies that have an ongoing business that generates annual revenues from $1-3 million," he said. "We're also looking for significantly larger Internet companies. Basically, we're looking at any Internet company with annual revenues over $1 million."
