Arena Entertainment Acquires Big Blue Productions Titles

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Gay distributor Arena Entertainment announced it will be distributing director/performer Blue Blake’s Big Blue Productions titles.

“Today is a happy day,” Arena President and CEO Dani Duran said. “We are delighted to announce that our boy has come home.”

Big Blue Productions was founded by performer Blake in 1999 and made a splash in the gay industry with “Demolition Daddy.”

Blake, who started his adult career as a performer for COLT Studio and Tom of Finland in the mid-‘90s, is known for creating high-quality films that star gay-for-pay bodybuilders and has never veered from his personal vision of what constitutes a great adult movie.

“All of Blue’s films — past, present and future — will be distributed by Arena,” said Duran. “He’s back where he belongs — with us.”

Blake left Arena for a short time before deciding to come back to the popular distribution company.

“Arena has always given myself and Big Blue Productions the most overwhelming support,” Blake said. “In addition to being a terrific company, they are also great personal friends. I’m ecstatic to be working with them again.”

“Blue has created an enormously strong line over the years,” Duran said. “He has a catalogue to rival the biggest companies and his brand name just sells and sells.”

Blake recently slowed down production to complete his autobiography “Out of the Blue: Confessions of an Unlikely Pornstar.” The book, published by Perseus Books, will hit stores in August.

“I have read some of this book,” Duran said, “and it’s hilarious. There is no doubt in my mind that once people get their hands on it, it will generate even bigger sales of Blue’s films.”

Arena will not only carry the entire Big Blue Productions library, but will also carry his new line: The Blue Blake Platinum Collection. The first release from that line is entitled “Bodybuilders Who Eat Cum.”

“We couldn’t be happier to have him back under the Arena umbrella,” Duran said.
