AEE Trade Day 1: The Novelty Show Floor

LAS VEGAS – Crowds of curious CES attendees and Venetian visitors lined the walkway to the entrance to the Sands Expo Center for Day 1 of the annual Adult Entertainment Expo.

Familiar faces were seen perusing the novelty booths in the B2B Marketplace, checking out new companies and their products and checking in with old friends. Dan Siechart, creator of the Monkey Rocker, was seen chatting with Sliquid CEO Dean Elliot next to the OhMiBod booth, where company founder Suki showed off her latest iPhone-compatible vibe.

Absent from the show floor were silicone sex toy manufacturer Tantus and sex toy box designer Devine Toys, and it soon became apparent that several companies had opted out of purchasing booth space, instead choosing to establish a walking presence on the floor and set up meetings off site.

However the companies new and familiar who did opt for booth space were eager to do business and visibly excited to show off their new goods to everyone passing by, gearing up for the Novelty Hospitality Suites, where the "real action" is expected to go down all day today and tomorrow.
