Cherry Media Expands Worldwide, Taps New Hires

BARCELONA — Cherry Media Holdings, parent company of the adult mobile brand Cherrysauce, yesterday announced an expansion that will extend the company’s reach to millions of new consumers in Europe, Africa and South America.

Cherry Media’s new expansion strategy kicked off in October and already has “reaped immediate tangible results,” according to the company.

“The last quarter of 2007 resulted in a record 64 percent increase in new partnerships,” the company said in a press release. “These include key development programs in territories such as the UK, Germany, South Africa, Turkey, Portugal, Serbia, Croatia and numerous South American countries. The company continues to demonstrate a fourth year of consecutive organic commercial growth whilst sustaining a steady increase in product and service deployment.”

Cherry Media attributes much of its successful expansion to key new employees the company has brought on board, including David Jarvis, the company’s new commercial director for the European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets as well as the Australasia (the area that includes Australia, New Zealand and neighboring islands) and Asia-Pacific regions.

Prior to coming on board with Cherry Media, Jarvis worked for Private Media Group in Barcelona, where he helped to establish Private’s venture into the mobile market — one of the first major forays into the mobile sector by an adult entertainment company.

Cherry Media also has appointed Sito Roso as the new general manager of the Cherrysauce brand. Roso will work with Jarvis to expand Cherry Media’s reach, an expansion that will be driven in large part by the success of its flagship adult mobile service, according to Cherry Media founder and managing director Julia Dimambro.

“By continuing to establish Cherrysauce as the iconic glamour and adult consumer brand within the overall Cherry Media services portfolio, we are creating a highly scalable and adaptable solutions provider that will offer a diverse knowledge base for a wider range of companies,” Dimambro said. “Cherry Media utilizes highly effective aligned skill sets, market knowledge and proven commercial models for mobile operators and global media brands based on our successful experiences within the adult mobile sector over the last five years.”
