Bad Ass Frank Launches Adult Talent Agency
“Integrity is lacking in this business, and I intend to change that,” Prather said. “The women I represent are at the core of my company and this industry. With [Bad Ass Models], they are treated with honesty and integrity.”
Prather said the idea to start an agency came to him after he started shooting content for his forthcoming websites.
“I made friends with a lot of the actresses, and I found there was a basic lack of trust with their agents,” Plather told XBiz. “So many of the agents in this business don’t market the girls, they just list them. They claim to be full-service agencies, but they’re not marketing and branding them. We want to do things differently. We want to help the girls build their names and their careers, not just find work.”
Earlier this month, Prather put out a call to all aspiring adult actresses, stressing that the focus of his agency will be building successful careers for his clients. He said the agency has brought in 10 clients in the first week alone, including Violet Blue, AVN’s Best New Starlet for 2002, Mercedes Ashley, AVN’s Viewer’s Choice for Best Latina Performer, and rising star Tricia Oaks, among others.
Although Bad Ass Models are not required to sign exclusive contracts, Prather said those who are exclusive to the agency will get top priority.
Prather first came to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career but said he quickly determined that he “not only hated acting, but had no acting ability whatsoever,” so he wrote and directed his first short film, “Vigilante Chicks.” Soon after he formed a production company called Hollywood Bad Ass and went on to make three short films, all of which “had brilliant scripts and were so poorly executed that [he] almost died of embarrassment.”
Prather also was a cast member on a reality show called Cowboy U, in which he “lived with seven other idiots on a ranch for three weeks.”
Fortunately, Prather has had much more success with his adult content production business, Bad Ass World Domination Enterprises. He has been shooting content for several months and will use the footage to launch an adult directory and several POV sites in the near future.
He said the agency was a natural extension of production activities and his past experience in marketing and branding.
“In addition to experience in mainstream entertainment, my business background includes sales and advertising,” Prather said. “I know what it takes to build brands, and that will allow me to offer exceptional career development for my clients.”
