SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Mantra Films, owner of the “Girls Gone Wild” video series, is in talks with pay-per-view broadcaster iNDEMAND Networks for a multi-video deal, XBiz has learned.

The two companies already signed a deal late last year to broadcast Sunday’s “Girls Gone Wild Halftime Games” during Superbowl XXXIX.

“This is the first of a number of pay-per-view videos we will supply iNDEMAND,” Mantra Vice President Bill Horn told XBiz. “Mantra is creating its own pay-per-view division to supply new, original and live content.”

Terms of the proposed multi-video deal between the companies haven’t yet been finalized, Horn said.

New York-based iNDEMAND, which reaches 1,400 cable providers throughout the United States, approached Mantra last year to televise the halftime special, Horn said.

Mantra Films, based in Santa Monica, Calif., also signed deals with DirecTV and Echo Star for “Girls Gone Wild Halftime Games.”

The halftime special is estimated to pull in an audience between 200,000 to 400,000.

The 55-minute PPV, which will cost viewers $14.95, pits 40 women against each other in events that include a trampoline, a slide lubricated with tequila and an obstacle course.

“All of the events take place on an island in the Pacific,” Horn said. “The competition will be fierce and the penalty in the game will be nudity. In the end, the winners get massages and the losers get showers.”

Horn said that the halftime show will be hosted by comedian Doug Stanhope, former co-host of “The Man Show” and host of “Girls Gone Wild: America Uncovered.”

“After ‘Nipplegate’ and ‘Towelgate,’ the halftime at Super Bowl is shaping up to be a G-rated sleeper, with Paul McCartney leading the show into an extended bathroom break,” Horn said. “We see ‘Girls Gone Wild’ as a better option.”
