8th Annual Berlin Venus Shows Kicks Off on Thursday

BERLIN — Described by Mayor Klaus Wowereit as “poor but sexy,” the city of Berlin is hosting the 8th Annual Venus Show, beginning on Thursday.

The yearly show, which kicks off with the Venus Award Gala on Thursday night, features 300 exhibitors from more than 20 countries displaying erotic content, toys and stars during the three-day festival.

This year’s awards will be hosted by German drag queen Olivia Jones. U.S. nominees include Jesse Jane, Jenna Jameson and Jewel De Nyle.

Performing at the awards will be adult dancers The International Dream Men and music will be provided by the Family of Gipsy Kings.

Stage shows will also be constantly running throughout the festival, with performances ranging from BDSM to erotic sword fights.

Making appearances at this year’s event are film star and rapper Ice-T, promoting his new international porn film “Pimpin’ 101,” Seymore Butts, Aurora Snow and Kelly Erikson, as well as products including exercise equipment for the tongue, complete with live instructions, electrified dildos, and something called “Beppy the Action Tampon.”

This year’s show is sponsored by a bevy of well-known international adult companies, including Orion.de, Private Media, Beate Uhse and Magma Film.
