Adultcon Vice President Renaud West estimated the attendance at "maybe 100," adding, "It was not well-attended, but the right people were there."

Also in attendance were talent representatives Derek Hay and Rob Baker; publicist Jeff Mullen; VCX President David Sutton; and industry reporters Terri Redor and James Bartholet.
The awards were nominated by the Board of Governors of the newly formed Academy of Adult Arts and Entertainment and voted on by industry professionals. The votes were tabulated and certified by attorney Gregory Alan Rutchik of the San Francisco-based Arts and Technology Law Group.
