LOS ANGELES — Veteran pleasure products manufacturer Doc Johnson has signed on as a diamond sponsor of the Sexual Health Expo (SHE), to be held on Saturday, Feb. 4 and Sunday, Feb. 5 at the California Market Center (CMC) in Los Angeles.
“We are very excited to sponsor and exhibit at the 2017 SHE L.A. show in February,” said Scott Watkins, VP of sales and marketing for Doc Johnson. “This will be our second time sponsoring and exhibiting at SHE, and our third time attending — and the exposure we’ve gained from these events has been fantastic for us.”
Watkins said, “It’s obvious that the team at SHE works very hard at marketing the show to ensure that that they get an excellent turnout at each event, as the crowds are large and the attendees are highly receptive. We believe that there’s no substitute in getting our new product out there directly to consumers and hearing their feedback first-hand. Our growing support and sponsorship of SHE is indicative of the importance we place upon these events as a part of our overall marketing strategy.”
Ryann Brooks, marketing coordinator for Doc Johnson, said the company will be featuring products for both men and women at SHE L.A.
“We’ll have a number of our newest, most female-centric products on display at SHE L.A., including TRYST, our luxury multi-purpose massager — which also happened to be our bestselling new product of 2016 — BUZZ, our liquid vibrator, which drew incredible crowds at SHE New York; the OptiMALE Rechargeable Vibrating C-Ring, which was recently awarded the title of ‘Best Couples Toy’ from Cosmopolitan; and a selection of pieces from our 100 percent silicone TRUSKYN line,” Brooks said.
Doc Johnson’s American POP collection, recently featured on Refinery29.com, will be on display as well.
“The eye-catching (American POP) line features a variety of ultra-bright plugs, dildos, vibrators and more — with bold, graphic packaging to match — in materials that include Doc Johnson’s incredibly lifelike ULTRASKYN and health-grade Platinum Premium Silicone,” Brooks said.
The California Market Center is located at 110 E. 9th St. in Downtown Los Angeles.
One of the most enduring pleasure product brands, Doc Johnson is celebrating its 41st anniversary this year. The company was founded in North Hollywood, Calif., in 1976 by Ron Braverman, who still serves as CEO. Braverman’s son Chad Braverman is now its COO/CCO, and his daughter, Erica Braverman, is the company’s marketing director.
