WoodRocket Lands 7 XBIZ Awards Nominations

LOS ANGELES — WoodRocket has received seven nominations in the 2017 XBIZ Awards, to be held on Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles and hosted by Ron Jeremy.

WoodRocket co-founder Lee Roy Myers has been nominated for Director of the Year: Parody for his work in “Gnardians of the Galaxy,” which is up for Parody Release of the Year and Best Special Effects. And WoodRocket.com is nominated for Adult Site of the Year: Fan Site.

"Thank you, XBIZ,” Myers said. “It is an absolute honor to receive these award nominations.”

“Ten Inch Mutant Ninja Turtles” is nominated for Marketing Campaign of the Year as well as Best Sex Scene: Parody Release for a scene featuring Ela Darling, April O'Neil and Michael Vegas and Best Non-Sex Performance for Vuko’s work in the film.

“I used to tell the WoodRocket team that having fun making really weird porn parodies for a living is our greatest reward,” Myers said. “I was wrong; award nominations are our greatest reward. If we win those awards, then that will be our greatest reward. The entire WoodRocket team is extremely proud of their XBIZ Award nominations. They are our greatest reward."

Myers said, “We are so thankful for our fans and their appreciation of what we make. It’s not every day that you find other people that enjoy watching the combination of comedy and weirdness and pop culture and penetration, and we found them — a lot of them. And we thank them with all of the comedy and weirdness and pop culture and penetration and love in our hearts. Without them, we are nothing.”
