SexTechGuide.com Focuses on Sex/Technology Overlap

LOS ANGELES — SexTechGuide.com, a new website, has announced that it is “soft-launching today with a focus on the overlap between sex and technology.” Featuring news, articles, opinions, roundups and more, STG said, the site will be “the place for all your sextech info.”

SexTechGuide.com is the project of technology journalist and editor Ben Woods, founder of BBT Media and a regular contributor to Wired and Engadget. Woods is also the former European editor at The Next Web and currently runs 10Second.tech.

"Too often, mainstream technology publishers can't go into enough detail around sex to really tell people what they should know about a device, or particular technology,” Woods said. “Too many topics are taboo, and too many could potentially hurt the mainstream advertising revenues. As a side project, that isn't something I need to worry about too much right now.”

Woods said SexTechGuide.com wants to “encourage anyone with a desire to write about sextech to get in touch.”

"This can't be just be about men,” Woods said. “Many of the sextech devices already available are geared towards men. Ideally, I'd have at least two or three more women on the team contributing content, but this is something I'm going to try and have to grow naturally."

SexTechGuide.com, 10Second.tech and BenWoodsish.com are trading names of BBT Media.
