ASACP Salutes Donors of 2016 XBIZ Awards Fundraiser

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its receipt of the proceeds from XBIZ’s annual fundraiser, which was held earlier this year at the 2016 XBIZ Awards show in Hollywood.

The joint charity fundraiser benefited both ASACP and the Free Speech Coalition (FSC), raising more than $46,000 in contributions to be split between the two organizations.

“There is no question that ASACP and FSC both serve integral roles in the continued growth of our industry, working tirelessly with limited resources to further their vital missions, and by doing so shielding us from greater politically motivated intervention,” explains XBIZ President Alec Helmy. “So, it really be hooves us to do everything we can to empower these fine organizations, be it through financial or in-kind support.”

According to ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, in an era of declining budgets and rising expenses, non-profit organizations such as ASACP must increasingly seek donations over and above what they are able to bring in through memberships and sponsorships.

“With children going online at ever younger ages, and using a wider range of devices and technologies than ever before, the need for protection is increasing — as is the complexity and cost of providing a safety net to the Internet’s most vulnerable users,” Henning says. “ASACP is extremely grateful to XBIZ, and for the generosity of the members of the adult entertainment industry that took part in this annual fundraiser that provides vital support, and the funding the association needs to continue its mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment.”

Participating companies included CalExotics and The Lion’s Den, each of which donated $10,000; plus Grand Slam Media with a $2,500 donation; and ATKingdom, Chaturbate, Eldorado, and MetArt, which each donated $2,000.

BaDoink, Doc Johnson, GTBill, Mobius Payments, MojoHost, Nasstoys, Paradise Marketing, Wicked Pictures, Williams Trading, and XR Brands, each donated $1,000; while affil4you, an anonymous donor, EroAdvertising, Juicy Ads, Kelly Holland, Mr. Skin, NETbilling, SegPay, SugarInstant, and the Walters Law Group, each donated $500.

Lucas Entertainment gave $300, and Good Vibrations $200; while both Elevated X and Red Apple Media each donated $100.

“The companies that participated in this fundraiser encompass all segments of the adult industry and the service firms that support it, illustrating how these market leaders are willing to take a stand to end online child exploitation,” Henning added. “To these companies, I say thank you once again, on behalf of ASACP, and on behalf of the world’s children.”
