SugarDVD Rebrands to SugarInstant

SugarDVD Rebrands to SugarInstant

LOS ANGELES — SugarDVD today said it was rebranding and will now be known as SugarInstant.

SugarInstant will continue to offer DVD rentals, sales, toys, pay-per-view, and unlimited streaming, according to Natasha, the Los Angeles-based company’s content manager.

The rebranding, Natasha said, reflects Sugar’s increased focus on its unlimited streaming services. Current customers and affiliates are still able to login with their SugarDVD credentials.

Launching it's unlimited service on Roku in 2011, Sugar has since expanded it to Playstation, Xbox and mobile devices, among other platforms. The service offers thousands of HD movies for $7.95 a month and offers a free 10-day trial for new customers.

Natasha said the service has worked to make finding and watching movies on any device as simple as possible. It has a recommendation engine and has tools to allow customers to add and remove categories, as well as store movies in a favorites folder for easy access.

"What makes Sugar different is our commitment to offer the best user experience, while keeping our eyes to the future and working towards the next big thing,” Natasha said.

The newly branded site is currently nominated for the 2016 XBIZ Awards as Best VOD Site of the Year.
