HotMovies Donating Portion of 'Movember' Sales to Charities

PHILADELPHIA — HotMovies.com has announced they are donating a portion of November sales to charities focused on researching, fighting and discovering a cure for prostate cancer.

They plan to raise awareness for men's health issues, especially prostate cancer, and the need for regular check-ups. HotMovies said they were inspired by the 'Movember' annual event, which involves the growing of moustaches in November to shed light on men's health.

"According to an 18-year long study conducted by researchers at Harvard Medical School, men who ejaculate 21 or more times per month have a lower risk of developing prostate cancer during the course of their life," HotMovies Publicity Manager Janie Mackenzie said.

“With more than 200,000 movies aimed at helping men reach that monthly quota, we wanted to raise awareness by helping a worthy cause, while also providing the source material for men to get started #PullingForTheCure!” Mackenzie added.

For the entire month of November, new and current customers may enter the offer code #PullingForTheCure at checkout to join the fundraising effort. Customers will receive 10 free minutes on their HotMovies account as a reward for their participation.

More details on the #PullingForTheCure campaign can be found here. For more information, email Janie Mackenzie at Janie@HotMovies.com or call (215) 418-2700, ext. 1576.
