ICM Registry Launches .Sex Domain Matching Program

ICM Registry Launches .Sex Domain Matching Program

MIAMI — ICM Registry has launched its .sex Sunrise B / domain matching program.

From now until Oct. 30, owners of .xxx, or trademark owners that reserved a name during the .xxx Sunrise B program, are eligible to register .sex names before they become available to the general public.

ICM said the program gives most .xxx participants a priority opportunity to register directly matching names in .sex. Names not registered during this period will be generally available on Nov. 4.

The Registry also announced the launch of its tiered-pricing, premium names program for .xxx, .adult, .porn and .sex. Parties can now obtain the names directly through participating registrars. These names include SEO based keywords as well as two character names.

ICM noted that it would continue to work directly with the adult industry under its “super premium” program for select names that can only be acquired through ICM. The Registry said the keywords porn, adult, sex and xxx are searched more that 300 million times per month, making it a good time to secure domain names that help drive traffic to those extensions. Premium keywords are now on both sides of the dot in a domain name.

Resources for mainstream brands and the adult industry to help ensure brand protection of the  new, adult-related domain extensions including eligibility, availability and timing, can be found at ICM’s free, interactive Domain Check Tool.

ICM is encouraging parties to participate in the upcoming webinar on Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. EDT, to access resource materials, and contact their registrar directly to find out about premium name pricing and .sex domain name availability.
