Garren James Leads 'SexTalkTuesday'

BOSTON — Garren James, the owner of Cowboys4Angels and creative consultant on the Showtime program “Gigolos,” is slated to lead the discussion on the Twitter-based chat show #SexTalkTuesday this Tuesday.

James will address both the reality and fantasy of male escorting, among other topics.

“The world of male escorts is something a lot of women are curious about, even among those who will never retain the services of one,” said Angie Rowntree, owner of Sssh.com and producer of #SexTalkTuesday. “It’s an area sort of shrouded in mystery — and who better to demystify it than Garren, who can give an insider’s viewpoint and the perspective of someone who built his business up from nothing into a nationally-known service which has been featured on some of the biggest mainstream shows out there?”

James said he was originally inspired to start Cowboys4Angels as a result of dating a woman who owned one of the largest female escort services in the country.

“She shared her knowledge and experience with me and I then helped manage her business,” James said. “This led me to create a service exclusively for women. Initially it was a very slow start; Cowboys4Angels averaged one client per week. After my appearance on the 'Tyra Banks Show' in 2008, business increased exponentially. The day Cowboys4Angels was featured on the 'Tyra Banks Show,' Cowboys4Angels was in the top 10 Google-searched sites in the nation.”

The agency quickly became something of a media darling, with James making appearances on "Dr. Phil," "20/20," "Nightline," the "Joy Behar Show," National Geographic and feature articles in a wide variety of publications, culminating in the agency being featured on Showtime’s "Gigolos."

In an interview with Vice earlier this year, James described Cowboys4Angels as a “very unique” business.

“There’s not too many businesses out there where the ultimate goal is to make somebody smile,” James said, adding that positive feedback from customers more than offsets the occasional vitriol which shows up in his inbox.

“As you might expect, the show draws an open-minded and extremely varied audience,” Rowntree said. “My bet is there will be less judgment and more curiosity than Garren may have encountered in other forums, but the great thing about #SexTalkTuesday is you just never know where the conversation might go.”

James says "he's looking forward to sharing some secrets of the #Gigolos show on #sextalktuesday this week."

To join the discussion, go to twitter.com and use the #SexTalkTuesday hash tag during the hour-long show, which will run from 3 to 4 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday. For more information on James, visit cowboys4angels.com/press/.
