Judge Donald Thompson, who was sentenced to four consecutive one-year sentences in August for indecent exposure, will now have to serve out the remainder of his prison term.

According to prosecutors, Thompson used the penis pump while presiding over trials in 2002 and 2003.

Rob Nigh, Thompson’s attorney, said his client maintains his innocence. Thompson said the penis pump was a gag gift, and he insists he never used it. Nigh said the punishment far exceeds the conviction.

“He's lost everything,” Nigh said. “He's lost his profession. He's lost the ability to be a lawyer. He's lost the ability to ever be a judge,” Nigh said.

Special prosecutor Richard Smothermon and assistant district attorney Pattye High argued against paroling Thompson, saying the former judge hadn’t shown any remorse.

Smothermon also said Thompson refused a plea deal that would have had him admit to a misdemeanor offense in exchange for avoiding prison time.

Thompson, who served more than 20 years on the bench, is currently serving time in an undisclosed prison for his protection, Oklahoma Department of Corrections spokesman Jerry Massie said.
