Porn Star, Director Kid Vegas to Face Sentencing

BEATTY, Nev. — Porn star and director Scott Austin, aka Kid Vegas, appears to have reached the end of his legal predicament.

Austin, the star of “Kid Vegas: Whoremaster,” and “Kid Vegas: Trenchcoat Pornographer” among other movies, will appear before Judge John P. Davis on Dec. 4. to be sentenced for sex-related offences.

Austin skipped bail and fled to Canada after being indicted on six felony counts of sexual assault in the small town of Beatty, Nev. Austin was accused of sexually assaulting one of his co-stars at a private party along with one of her friends who was reportedly 16 years old at the time.

According to Austin’s lawyer Chet Katchinski, his client will plead guilty to two misdemeanors, one gross misdemeanor and one count of failure to appear, which is part of a plea bargain with the district attorney. Katchinski expects his client to be sentenced to time served.

Canadian customs officials at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport detained Austin in July 2005 after they ran a check on his passport and discovered the outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Austin ran because he claimed he would not receive a fair trial in Nevada.

“Those rednecks are trying to hang me because they don’t like what I do for a living,” Austin said last year in a jailhouse interview with the Las Vegas Sun. “It’s all corrupt down there. I’m willing to stay [in Canada] as long as it takes to avoid going back to Nevada.”

Since being extradited back to the U.S., Austin has been incarcerated in New York and Nevada.

As Kid Vegas, Austin began his career in the adult industry as talent and a director in 1999. He appeared in a handful of titles for Legend, Dane, Digital Playground, and Hustler and also directed his own series for X-traordinary.
