Walters Law Group to Conduct Camming, Dating Legal Workshop at XBIZ Summit

MIAMI — The law firm of Walters Law Group, through its founder, Lawrence G. Walters, and of counsel, Corey Silverstein, will present an exclusive legal workshop focused on the latest issues facing live webcam and online dating operators at the upcoming XBIZ Summit in Miami.

The attorneys will update XBIZ Summit attendees on consumer protection complaints, lawsuits against online dating sites, 2257 compliance, Bitcoin payments, solicitation concerns, age verification, and other hot-button issues.

“As the online dating and camming business models have grown in popularity and profitability, so has the attention these sites are receiving from both the media and government enforcement agencies,” Walters said. With the lines between webcam models, dating site members and escorts continually being blurred, significant legal concerns may arise.”

Since 2010, Walters Law Group has actively represented some of the largest stakeholders in the adult industry, and will bring its expertise to this workshop to assist attendees in shoring up compliance obligations and mitigating risks. The 50-minute workshop is slated to begin at 3 p.m. on May 15.

XBIZ Summit returns to Miami May 13-16, this time situated beachside at the plush Eden Roc hotel. Converging modern and classic flair, Eden Roc will contribute to an unforgettable experience, complete with all-new outdoor mixers, beachfront networking, poolside cabanas, exclusive special events and other XBIZ Summit signature elements such as the next installment of its bikini contest.
