L.A.'s Vivid Cabaret to Open in Summer

LOS ANGELES -- The first Vivid Cabaret to debut in the Los Angeles area will open up this summer in Rancho Dominguez, which is just north of Long Beach and adjacent to Carson and Compton.

When it opens, the new club operated by Rick’s Cabaret International will feature only topless entertainers who will dance in about 12,000 square feet of space.

The club, still under construction, is located near the San Diego and Harbor freeways at 1957 Del Amo Blvd. in Rancho Dominguez, Calif. Its location has been under wraps for about a year after Rick’s Cabaret in July said the company intended to build a new gentlemens club from the ground up in Los Angeles County.

Rick’s Cabaret, which is building a second Vivid Cabaret in midtown Manhattan that is expected to open in the fall, struck an agreement this year with Vivid for licensing the studio name in conjunction with gentlemens clubs.

Rick’sCabaret already operates more than three dozen clubs with such names as Club Onyx, XTC Cabaret, Tootsie's Cabaret and Rick’s Cabaret.

Vivid Cabarets will share the look and feel of the studio’s image, Vivid co-founder and CEO Steven Hirsch said earlier this year. Vivid Girls will be dancing and making special appearances, previewing new movies, holding auditions and more.

“We’ll promote the clubs on VividTV, to our huge email list of Vivid fans as well as on our world-famous Vivid.com website, on our DVDs, and at Vivid parties and events,” Hirsch said.

Vivid is one of the most prolific adult brand operators and licensors.

In addition to Vivid Cabaret, there’s Vivid.com and, of course, its adult movies, as well as VividTV, VividTouch, Vivid Cams, Vivid Vodka, Vivid Condoms and the upcoming Vivid Radio.
