Surprising Adam & Eve Survey Finds 36% of Respondents Don't Watch Porn

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — What comes as no shock to still struggling porn producers, a new web survey from Adam & Eve has found that many Americans get their web porn fix for free. But what is surprising is that 36 percent of the respondents said they don’t watch porn at all.

This month’s “Great American Sex Survey” conducted by a third-party company asked more than 1,000 American adults over 18 “How do you prefer to watch adult content?” The results showed that 44 percent said  “free sites” was their choice.

But the surprising result was the large number of respondents who claim they simply don’t view adult content. It was unclear as to whether the respondents were truthful in their answers or just shy about admitting that they watch porn.

Only 16 percent of those interviewed said they preferred to view adult DVDs, and only 4 percent said they preferred pay-per-view sites.

“It’s no surprise that free sites are the obvious choice for adult viewers,” Adam & Eve resident sexpert Dr. Kat Van Kirk said. “There is a niche for every sexual preference under the sun. And it’s free. Unfortunately, a lot of the major adult studios are financially hurt when their content is leaked to the public this way. In addition, many viewers don’t know the source or circumstances behind their free adult content. ”

Despite the sobering results, the company’s director of marketing Chad Davis was positive, citing the company’s existing customer base that still embraces its brand of content.

“Adam & Eve goes to great measures to make sure its adult content represents a healthy image of sexuality. Whether our customers prefer to order a DVD through our catalog or website, or watch Adam & Eve’s video-on-demand channel, they can rest assured the content is sex positive.”
