Cherry Media Scores 4th Top Mobile Entertainment Award

BARCELONA — Mobile company Cherry Media S.L. (Cherrysauce.com) has brought home the award for "Best Adult Mobile Company"  from the world Mobile Entertainment (ME) Awards 2012 held on Nov. 29

This marks two consecutive wins for Cherry and the fourth time it has won the award including 2006, 2009, 2011, and now 2012.

The 7th ME Awards took place at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. The company said it has been nominated every year for the last seven years for this prize, and won again for its outstanding work in the adult sector, staving off the competition from companies like MiKandi, AdultModa, Private Media and Pink Visual.

“I am so proud that the mobile industry has once again awarded us this accolade for Best Adult Mobile Company,” CEO and founder Julia Dimambro commented.

She added, “It is Cherry Media’s mission to not only be the leading Adult Entertainment Mobile Company, but to also be the first port of call for businesses wanting to monetize their adult products and their traffic to the global mobile market. 2012 has been a great year for Cherry Media and next year will be our 10th birthday. Stay tuned because we have lots of exciting projects to launch on the world’s mobile stage during 2013.”

The ME Awards were attended by more than 300 senior industry professionals and the winners were decided by a judging panel drawn from ME's contacts and consisting of about 500 executives from all sectors of the mobile business.

"Our industry has changed significantly in the last 12 months, which means that we’ve had to cast the net far wider to highlight the innovators of today. Last night we handed out awards in 23 categories. In a change from the usual line up we saw new giants emerging from the AR, Enterprise and Games Monetization sectors and I’m certain that next year we’ll expand even further. My congratulations to all the winners," Katy Phillips, publisher of Mobile Entertainment said.

Cherry Media has also been nominated at the upcoming 2013 XBIZ Awards for ‘Mobile Company of the Year’ to be held on Jan. 11 in Los Angeles.
