CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Not all porn stars come to the industry as relative outsiders, naïve to the business of adult entertainment. Enter De'Bella, an employee of Red Light District and mother of director Jewel DeNyle, who, at age 49, recently made her on-camera debut after nearly four years in the industry.

With DeNyle and De'Bella's husband, also a Red Light employee, well known in the business, De'Bella told XBIZ that moving in front of the camera less than a month ago with a photo shoot for StillGuy.com was a natural progression, albeit one she never anticipated when she first started working in adult.

“I am going to be 50 soon,” De'Bella said. “Self-confidence has always been an issue for me, but I felt so comfortable doing the shoot that a video seemed like a good choice.”

When word of the photo shoot got around, De'Bella began fielding calls to appear in movies. Her first scene, directed by Urbano, was with Herschel Savage in "Hot 50 Plus No. 23" for NG Productions and Channel 69 DVD.

According to De'Bella, word of her decision to work blue has spread quickly through the industry, and a number of directors have approached her about working for them.

As for plans to work in a film directed by her daughter, De'Bella ruled that out.

“Working with her wouldn’t be a good idea,” De'Bella said. “I like to be myself when I perform, and I just don’t think I could do that with her there.”

To date, De'Bella has appeared only in boy-girl, MILF-themed productions. However, she has been approached to do girl-girl work with Missy Monroe.

Despite her recent porn stardom, De'Bella doesn’t plan on quitting her day job at Red Light District.

“They’ve been really great to me,” De'Bella said. “David Joseph and Ralph Ceglia have both been very supportive from the start, allowing me to shoot around my work schedule, and that’s something I’d like to thank them for.”

De'Bella means beautiful in Hungarian.

De'Bella also has shot two scenes for Jeff Coldwater: “Sugar Moma Sluts” and “Aged to Perfection.”
