LOS ANGELES — IFC Films has released a new trailer and one sheet for director Stephen Elliott's "About Cherry," an independent movie co-written by adult star Lorelei Lee about a young woman's arrival in the San Francisco porn scene.

"About Cherry" stars "Chronicle's" Ashley Hinshaw as the eponymous 18-year-old high school student looking to escape an abusive home by running off to San Francisco, where she strips to make a living and meets boyfriend Frances (James Franco), a sleazy coke-headed lawyer.

Cherry also finds her way into the city's adult industry and begins to date Margaret (Heather Graham), a former performer-turned-director who shoots her scenes. The film costars Dev Patel as Cherry's best friend, Lili Taylor as her alcoholic mother, Jonney Weston as her ex-boyfriend and adult starlet Sensi Pearl as herself.

Lee broke into adult in 2006 and has performed in more than 90 adult titles, including numerous efforts for Evil Angel and Kink.com, for which she also directs. She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in creative writing at NYU.

"About Cherry" will be available On Demand on Aug. 9 and in limited theatrical release on Sept. 21. The trailer can be seen at Yahoo! Movies.
