Toronto Asks Public to Weigh In on Strip Clubs

TORONTO — The city of Toronto has posted an 11-question online poll to get a better grip on public attitudes of live adult entertainment.
As part of a review of strip club regulations, city officials are asking members of the public to bare their thoughts on Toronto’s "no-touch" rules.
The poll, which will be up until July 2, asks strip-club patrons whether they know about the no-touch provision and whether the law helps protect strip club workers.
It also asks a question surrounding the city's "unobstructed view" provisions that curtail private rooms in club areas not in view of the main stage. "Are you in support of lap dancing/close contact between a burlesque entertainer and a customer?" that question asks.
The agency also plans to consult with those who work in the industry.
