MPUSHlive Debuts Streaming Video to Mobile

PLYMOUTH, England — Users interested in watching live cam models on their mobile phones can now watch in streaming video, thanks to software called mPUSHlive, launched by Adult Mobile Solutions.

The mobile streaming technology allows users to watch and text chat with live models all over the globe. It works with most 2.5G and 3G Java and Symbian phones and on most carrier networks.

The software and backend application offers an all-in-one solution with content, billing and delivery, making it easy for webmasters and WAP portal operators to offer off-the-shelf live adult cams.

While some companies have developed their own proprietary mobile backend solutions to watch live video, mPUSHlive is one of the first to offer a customizable solution that can work for any live content, for any webmaster.

“The application and solution can be ported over to any webmaster program online and incorporates our unique billing solution,” Michael Whelan, director of AMS, told XBIZ. “In as little as a few hours, the technology can be setup for most programs or web-based affiliate services.”

For users looking to purchase a live cam feed on their mobile devices, the technology works similar to buying a video game on one’s cell phone. During the checkout process, a link directs the user to auto-download the distribution software. Customers may try the application for several minutes before committing to the purchase. Currently, 6- and 15-minute blocks are available, with the option to purchase more time when the original session expires.

Webmasters looking to implement this technology on their sites earn 20 percent of the gross revenue after billing costs. mPUSHlive handles all the billing and hosting for its affiliates. Commissions are paid each month by check or wire transfer. Pricing for the six-minute streaming session is $1.91 and $3.82 for 15 minutes. The price is automatically converted to local currency and customers can pay by text message.

MPUSHlive develops the product description, custom graphics and a link to the webmasters mobile storefront. The link is embedded with the affiliate’s ID number so all sales are tracked properly.

In conjunction with the launch, AMS has coordinated a unique promotion. Fans of the U.K.-based pay-per-view channel Desire TV can now watch it’s programming live on their mobile phones. Through mPUSHlive, users can watch and chat with the models on live TV anytime. The user sends a text message to the AMS shortcode, downloads the application, and then chooses one of the presenters to chat with.

“This is the first application of its type to be marketed on TV,” Whelan said. “We are all very excited about this service launch, all powered by mPUSHlive.”
