The Sybarite Awards to Celebrate Alternative Lifestyles

NEW YORK — The 2012 Sybarite Awards Erotic Bash is set to take place April 14.

The event celebrates the genre of swing and the businesses that contribute to the lifestyle.

The event is spearheaded by Lola Bastinado who is a sex advice columnist, alternative lifestyle educator, Playboy TV host, executive producer and creator of the Sybarite Awards, owner of and Lola’s House.

The event will be held at Webster Hall where accolades will be bestowed on the people’s choice winners.

“This year’s Sybarite Awards has taken a wonderful turn in the Adult Alternative genre," Bastinado said.

"While for the past six years, winners have proven to be from the swing genre, I’m thrilled to announce that this year in the category of Favorite Off Premise Event, Xris Smack and his fetish extravaganzas have rose to international popularity. This is huge for our industry as it shows the support patrons and fans have shown to the growth of various alternative and underground businesses. In honor of this milestone, I’m proud to say Xris Smack will not only be receiving an award but DJ for the guests in attendance, showing them why he’s been voted people’s choice.”

Doors will open at 10 p.m. and the festivities will continue until 4:30 a.m.

Tickets are $25 per person at the door. The theme will be body art. All types of erotic club clothing, fetish, club kid, lingerie, bikinis are all acceptable.

Body paint artists will be on premise for guests to enjoy.
