CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Private Media Group filed suit this afternoon against the operator of Vid2C.com for allegedly streaming 18 Private movies on the tube site.
Hans Miller of Oslo was named in the $2.7 million suit, as well as 100 John Does and 100 John Doe companies, presumably its advertising clients. The suit was filed at U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Vid2C.com has an Alexa ranking of 1,405 worldwide, 1,479 in the U.S.
The suit seeks an injunction and monetary relief for alleged violations of copyrights and trademarks.
Private spokesman Jason Tucker told XBIZ that “today's filing continue Private's inexorable pursuit of pirates.”
