CLEARWATER, Fla. — StorErotica Magazine has announced the nominees for the fifth annual StorErotica Awards.

This year marks the first time that the StorErotica Awards will be presented at the ANME Founders Show. Winners will be announced July 11, during the evening cocktail party at the ANME Founders Show taking place inside the Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel in Burbank, Calif.

“Individually, each of our nominees deserves appreciation for their continued excellence throughout the course of the past year," StorErotica Magazine Editor Kristofer Kay said. “But collectively, they all reflect just how multifaceted and dynamic our industry has become. We salute each nominee and look forward to honoring the winners at this year’s ANME Founders Show.”

There will be a total of 10 categories presented at this year’s StorErotica Awards. Returning categories include Novelty Company of the Year, Distributor of the Year, Retailer of the Year (both independent and chain), StorErotica Hot Product of the Year (which highlights a new product that was featured in StorErotica over the past year's issues) and the StorErotica Special Focus Award (which highlights a StorErotica Special Focus category from the previous year's issues — in 2011, glass toy companies will be honored.

In addition, StorErotica has created four new categories to be introduced at this year’s ceremony: Fetish Company of the Year, Lubricant Company of the Year, Sexual Enhancement Company of the Year and Marketing Campaign of the Year.

“By adding new awards alongside our existing categories, we are able to distinguish more organizations that add to the overall success of today’s brick and mortar retailer,” Kay says. “StorErotica is committed to honoring the best in our industry, and the StorErotica Awards have been a culmination of that effort for the past five years.”

Nominees for this year’s awards were tabulated by the editorial staff of StorErotica Magazine and through the suggestions of StorErotica readers via the online pre-nomination ballot, which was hosted onStorErotica.com from May 9-23.
