X-Play Inks Distro Deal With New Sensations

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Parody film innovators X-Play announced a distribution deal with New Sensations/Digital Sin.

The terms of the deal were not released but producer and director Will Ryder said details will be forthcoming with the company’s September release of “Not Charlie’s Angels XXX.”

X-Play currently distributes through LFP Video (Hustler) and Adam & Eve pictures. Both deals will continue with LFP distributing most of X-Play’s movies and Adam & Eve distributing select titles.

The company said that long with business partner Scott David, X-Play looks at this new deal as a “fantastic addition in their unbelievable ability to release movies” but in no way replaces their current distribution deals.

“Hustler is like family — especially Drew Rosenfeld (Hustler creative director) who has been a friend of mine for 12 years and Michael Klein (Hustler president) who has always been very supportive of X-Play along with Rob Smith, Jeff Thill and David Diamond,” Mullen said.

He added, “We continue to enjoy a very successful run with them and also Adam & Eve Pictures with Bob Christian and Meredith Christopher in our corner so we’ve been really lucky to distribute through two fantastic companies.”

Mullen said the three outlets will be busy as X-Play has a number of big movies due in the next year. “They [the films] will be spaced out as to not interfere with each company’s own movie release schedule.”

Ryder said that for example “Not Mash XXX” will be distributed by LFP Video closely followed by “Not Charlie’s Angels XXX” distributed by New Sensations/Digital Sin and the upcoming production of a “Wizard of Oz” porn parody which has yet to be assigned a distributor.

“This might sound confusing but it really is not,” Mullen joked. “Just think of us as the corner hooker who is lucky enough to get it on with three big time players from the high rent district. Believe me none of those companies need us but we are happy to be with them and we plan to love them long time.”
