Feminist Porn Awards Nominates Astrid Glitter

AUCKLAND, New Zealand — The Toronto Feminist Porn Awards (FPA) has selected two films by director Astrid Glitter for award contention in this year’s film festival being held this April in Toronto, Canada.

“John” the first Guy Love production from porn arthouse Glitter Films, as well as Glitter’s hetero collection entitled “Triple X Vignettes” have both been nominated. “I am super excited,” Glitter said. “It was amazing to be selected for the Berlin Porn Festival and now the Toronto FPA. It is wonderful to be considered on a par with other top adult film producers.”

“The nominees on this year’s list continue to strive to provide erotic entertainment that is smart, sexy, and continues to appreciate women as viewers,” Good For Her, the organizers of the FPA, said. “As porn star and performance artist Annie Sprinkle famously said, ‘The answer to bad porn isn't no porn … it’s to try and make better porn!’ Good For Her couldn't agree more…we also believe that erotic fantasy is powerful, and that women and marginalized communities deserve to put their dreams and desires on film, too.”

The Feminist Porn Awards showcase and honor those who are creating erotic media with a feminist sensibility.
