Marcus London, Tommy Gunn Form London Gunn Films

LOS ANGELES — Performer/directors Marcus London and Tommy Gunn have joined forces to form a new production company. The debut release from London Gunn Films is set for early next year.

With a mutual love for action and adventure, the pair plans to produce “a new breed of adult entertainment” with parodies, stylized vignettes and gonzo productions all on the release schedule.

London and Gunn first met four years ago on the set of “Darkside,” and while forming their own company wasn’t the initial goal “it was simply just to make movies that we wanted to make, and play the roles we want to play, and this is the best way for us to achieve those goals,” London told XBIZ.

London and Gunn are both trained directors, combat fighters and fight choreographers. London’s worked on the fight sequences for “Operation: Desert Stormy” (Wicked Pictures), “Rawhide 2: Dirty Deeds” (Adam & Eve Pictures) and more.

London has directed eight features for Penthouse and one for Wicked Pictures and plans to continue to direct for both while planning London Gunn’s movies around them.

“It was about time to use what we had learned to make our own breed of movies,” London said. “We are very involved in large-scale action movies but we realized that we need to diversify. But as we are under no timeline, we can spend more time on a production than other companies as we own our equipment and write our movies around the resources at our disposal so we can make higher-quality productions at a fraction of the cost.”

London Gunn’s debut release is titled “The Invitation,” a swingers movie with 20 porn stars and 15 real amateur swingers all outfitted in masks like the Stanley Kubrick film, “Eyes Wide Shut.” Other titles slated for next year include “The Players,” in which the actors acknowledge the audience as they discuss the loss of a close friend and reminisce about their sexual exploits; “Not Quite Nip/Tuck,” a parody of the FX series starring Krissy Lynn.

“Our vision for the company is to offer a level of production only seen in major mainstream filmmaking,” London said. “Being able to act, write, direct, produce, edit and perform stunts in our films makes us a major contender. We may not have a money pit, but we have the knowledge, the contacts and the capabilities, which together, is priceless.”

London Gunn films will be distributed by Pure Play Media.
