Val Jean is a contestant on the series "Chef Academy," which pits a group of culinary hopefuls against each other to win the approval of chef Jean Christophe Novelli. The nine contestants vie for the chef's approval in a variety of cooking challenges.

The former adult performer appears under the name Emmanuel Delcour. According to the Internet Movie Database, that's Val Jean real name.

Fellow contestants asked Val Jean about his porn past on a recent episode.

"No comment," Val Jean said.

"That means yes," contestant Suzanne Winn said.

Bravo described the video clip as a "confrontation," although Val Jean's coyness was met with laughs and howls of approval from his co-stars.
