Hustler Video Gets POP’ed With Parody Display

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — With the porn parody enjoying robust sales, Hustler Video has created an eye-catching point-of-purchase display for retailers to showcase its parody titles.

The display, with a faux wood finish, holds 15 DVDs and is decorated with art from X-Play movies along with Hustler Video’s own parodies.

“We wanted to give our distributors and retailers a selling tool that will not only increase their sales but will also get their customers excited about the quality of movies that we are making,” Hustler’s National Sales Manager David Diamond said. “Both Hustler Video and X-Play have a great lineup of parodies. They are great sellers, not to mention being a blast to watch.”

Hustler Video, in conjunction with its distribution deal with X-Play, was among the first companies to capitalize on the latest wave of porn parodies. “Britney Rears,” directed by Will Ryder, started the trend that begat “Not the Bradys XXX,” “Not the Cosbys XXX” and “Not Married With Children XXX.”

LFP’s in-house production arm, Hustler Video, also jumped in as a leader in the market with “Everybody Loves Lucy,” “This Ain’t the Munsters” and “This Ain’t Star Trek.”
