Germany to Get New Erotic TV Channel Monday

BAAR, Switzerland — tmc Content Group, a Swiss media service provider specializing in erotic content, has announced it will launch pay-TV channel Lust Pur in Germany on June 1.

The service will offer erotic films, series, reports, documentaries and short videos from German and international producers nightly from 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Central European Time. The target group is men, women and couples ages 20-59. To meet youth protection requirements, programs will be accessible before 11 p.m. only after entering a youth-protection PIN. From 11 p.m. the PIN is not required.

Lust Pur will be distributed on Eutelsat’s direct-to-cable platform KabelKiosk.

The channel, which had the working title Blue Movie Soft, was granted a broadcasting license by Berlin-Brandenburg’s media authority MABB. tmc Content Group already operates softcore channel Beate-Uhse.TV and adult video-on-demand services Blue Movie, Blue Movie Extra, Blue Movie Gay and redXclub.

tmc Content Group, originally a mainstream theatrical film distributor in the 1930s, moved into television distribution With an emphasis on adult entertainment in the 1980s. The company started a adult pay-TV service in Germany as a joint venture with Beate Uhse in 2001 and now offers straight and gay hardcore and softcore cable TV programming 24 hours a day. Beate Uhse is a stakeholder in the compaby.
