Scream XXX A Porn Parody
As anyone with a pulse has surely noticed, porn parodies have become standard fare for adult entertainment over the last few years, mining the last four decades of popular culture for source material. This is not to say that these movies are easy to make. In fact, this particular movie offers the tongue-in-cheek suggestion that such movies are murder, while still managing to spoof a popular horror movie franchise.

It is a difficult thing to make a slasher horror flick without showing a single drop of blood but director Eli Cross is up to the task. The bloodless murders are a requirement placed upon Eli by the fictional distributor of the fictional porn parody he's attempting to make. Often, Eli has no idea how he's going transition to the sex so he just tells his performers to just get on with the sex already and he'll work out the lead in later.

With excellent sexual performances by the likes of Zoe Voss, Scarlett Fay, Angelica Lane and more, his approach works out just fine and in doing so disproves the thesis proposed by one of the characters that porn parodies "are not a place for originality or creativity, they are the essence of derivation." It takes a lot of creativity to fit five sex scenes into a story arc that works, especially within the additional limitations imposed by the parody genre. It takes even more creativity to make such a movie that, like "Scream XXX," is also worthy of consideration as jerkoff material.
