PicoSearch Enables On-Site Searching

Providing fast access to the content they desire is the best way to please surfers and having an on-site search engine is a great way to make it happen. According to publisher SAS, PicoSearch is a hosted search service offering customizable search based navigation for your website’s visitors.

“There’s no waiting and no sharing of search services — you get your own search engine, so you control when your search gets updated,” states the PicoSearch website. “You can re-index and refresh whenever your site content changes.”

PicoSearch offers users AutoComplete search suggestions and keyword highlighting. Generous search page volume limits, comprehensive reporting of site search statistics and included customer support combine with useful search results page design tools and other features, such as search partitions and promotions, to make it a system worth trying.

“Whether you are offering a search box on one site, or serving as a mini-portal for many web pages, you will help your visitors find what they’re looking for while keeping them on your site,” the site continues. “And with more relevant site content, prospective visitors are more likely to become customers.”

Administered via an online control panel, PicoSearch is available in a freemium adsponsored version, or in a professional version, starting at $80. The pro version allows users to insert their own advertising into the system’s custom templates.
