How to Build Up Your Camming Fan Club

How to Build Up Your Camming Fan Club

As cam sites release exciting new streaming features, it can be tempting to neglect the subscriber-based fan clubs available on these platforms in favor of going live. Even if you are regularly releasing content for your most loyal cam fans, declining subscriber numbers may demotivate you. For whatever reason, if your fan club has turned stale, I’m here to tell you it’s still one of the best moneymaking options cam sites have to offer, so if you want to generate significant residual income, you should strive to build it up. If you need help getting that fan club back on its feet, here are some tips that will help inject new life into it.

CHANGE YOUR POSTING STYLE

Ask your fans what kind of new content they’d like to see; few things boost user engagement better than making fans feel valued and appreciated for their input.

Everybody gets into a rut sometimes. It happens to the best of us. But when you catch yourself in a rut and need to get out of it, shaking things up and changing your fan club strategy is one of the best things you can do to boost revenue.

Start by switching up the kind of content you produce and post. To introduce change to your audience more gradually, keep posting your old content style but change the theme every five photos/videos, for example. That way, you offer users a smooth transition and time to adjust, while also creating a safe space for yourself so you can gauge their response to new material. You can even try changing up your media choices. For example, if you usually only post pictures, start posting videos too. Ask your fans what kind of new content they’d like to see; few things boost user engagement better than making fans feel valued and appreciated for their input.

RUN A SPECIAL PROMO

Who doesn’t like a good sale? Treat your customers to the content they know and love at a reduced price, while enticing new members. You can offer a temporary subscription price discount, a multi-month bundle or a subscription-based incentive such as free nudes for signing up. If your platform allows it, you can also use disappearing content as a signup incentive.

COLLAB WITH OTHER MODELS

Collaborating with other models is a win-win for everyone. It’s one of the best ways to generate engagement, and cross-promoting your fan club content to one another’s audience will bring in extra traffic. Collaboration can mean creating content together, or simply featuring each other’s content via a marketing-only shoutout-for-shoutout on social media or even a “takeover” of each other’s fan clubs for a day. In short, even if you can’t or don’t want to work together in person, there are plenty of ways to incorporate other performers into your fan club’s success.

Also, if a model has a similar vibe or personality to yours, chances are their subscribers will also dig your content. Conversely, even if you are totally different, their most loyal followers might still subscribe to your fan club after hearing about it from a trusted source.

USE THE POWER OF MASS MESSAGES

Mass messages are private messages that you can send to a whole group of people at once. This makes them a great promotional and monetization tool for you, and the best part is that you can choose whether to send free content or put a video-on-demand price on the mass message content for fans to unlock.

You can also send a mass message to your camming subscribers who are not also fan club subscribers, reminding them you have a fan club in case they miss you in between cam shows. Never assume that fans who are subbed to your camming profile are already subbed to your fan club. I also recommend sending subscribers a free sample, like a sexy photo or fan club homepage screenshot, to lure them to your fan club.

Try a few of these ideas and you’ll soon see your fan club spring back to life, with renewed subscriber enthusiasm that could very well carry over to your live shows too.
