Violet Myers: Gamer Girl, Spicy Creator and Geek Supreme

Violet Myers remembers her upbringing as relatively normal. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she learned responsibility early on as the eldest sibling, raised mostly by women.

“I never dreamed of doing what I do as a career now,” she shares. “I always thought I was going to be a doctor and diagnose mental health illnesses. But sometimes you have to let life take its course.”

Though she had always felt curious about the adult industry, she never really gave it serious consideration until a guy she wowed with her sexual talents told her she could be a porn star.

“I did my research, listened to podcasts, watched documentaries — and when the opportunity arose, I immediately decided to do it and never looked back,” Myers recalls. “It’s been an incredible journey so far. It’s changed my life for the better.”

Myers says that she has definitely grown up a lot since joining the industry in her early 20s. That growth has included practical things like becoming more financially diligent, but also learning some unconventional yet valuable life lessons.

“I’ve learned to honestly not give a fuck,” she laughs. “Excuse my French.”

“I’ve also gotten better sexually, which helps a lot in my personal life!” Myers adds. “Though for the most part, I’m still a pretty shy person, believe it or not.”

Now, with several hundred credits for big-name brands like Vixen Media Group and Brazzers, Myers can point to a number of milestones in her career.

“My proudest studio shoot career highlight was when Vixen signed me as an exclusive contract star,” she says. “I remember always thinking of Vixen as the top, so it was a huge honor. They don’t shoot with just anyone, so it was truly a pivotal moment in my career — and one I worked hard for.”

As a creator, meanwhile, Myer gained momentum over the years by streaming and selling her own videos.

“I’ve always been heavily content-based, even before I did porn,” she explains. “I used to stream on Stream labs using my Xbox and play ‘Friday the 13th.’ I would vlog in high school. I was just meant for this life. I might have pursued a YouTube career, but a porn star’s life seemed more interesting! And now that I do SFW content, my goal is to normalize sex work and show the world that sex workers truly are just normal people. Our job does not define us.”

Asked what motivates her, Myers replies, “I remember where I used to be and where I wanted to be. I remember watching porn and never seeing anyone who looked like me. Now that I am that person for others, it’s a great feeling. There needs to be more representation for thick, curvy Latinas.

“I also find it cool to interact with my fans on social media,” she adds. “I’m such a homebody, so it’s great to be able to engage with them without leaving the house!”

Speaking of staying at home, much of the fan appeal Myers has cultivated is due to her love for all things gaming and geeky.

“What excites my fans most about my nerdy side is that they can relate to me,” she says. “We just want to play video games. That community is so welcoming, and when they see their favorite star has similar interests, it keeps them even more engaged with me because we have something to chat about! It’s an excellent conversation starter.”

Despite the temptation to game and couch-surf all day, however, Myers maintains a rigorous health and fitness regimen.

“My approach to staying healthy and happy is working out five, sometimes six days a week, whether that’s cardio or lifting weights,” she offers. “That’s my therapy.”

With her rigorous approach to her work, not to mention her authenticity and enthusiasm, Myers has risen high as a beloved community figure. She appeared on a billboard as an X3 Icon and dazzled fans at the X3 Expo fan extravaganza, where acclaimed creator and performer Siri Dahl interviewed her on the Hollywood Palladium stage about her personal and professional journey.

“Being an X3 Icon was a huge moment in my career!” she enthuses.

And what about being named Premium Social Media Star of the Year at the 2024 XBIZ Awards?

“Winning Premium Social Media Star of the Year surprised me,” she admits. “You never know with awards shows! But it felt amazing to know that my fans and people in the industry support me so strongly.”

Looking ahead to the rest of 2024 and beyond, Myers is determined to keep capitalizing on her momentum, which so far has netted her top-10 status on Pornhub, several million followers on X and Instagram, over 1.3 million likes on OnlyFans, and a robust 80,000-strong Twitch channel.

“My big ambition,” she says, “is to continue to give my fans the best content I can give them, meet more of my fans at conventions — and never give up on my dreams and goals.
