Veteran Performer Jason Nikas Passes Away at 51

LOS ANGELES — Retired veteran performer Jason Nikas passed away on Sept. 18, relatives reported. He was 51.

Nikas had reportedly long been suffering from cancer and was hospitalized at the time of his passing.

Nikas started his career in adult in 1991 and has almost 200 credits on his IAFD page, in gay and bi productions for top studios such as Vivid, Bi Line, All Worlds, Stallion, Caballero, Odyssey Men, Studio 2000 and Leisure Time. He performed steadily through 2006, with a few additional titles coming out in 2008 and 2011.

A blond, fit performer with boyish looks reminiscent of Matt Damon, Nikas excelled in the 1990s and 2000s in clean-cut roles that emphasized the “Abercrombie” ideal of the era.

Nikas was known for his versatility as a performer, comfortable working in gay, bisexual and trans productions. He occasionally performed in trans productions under the name Ann Drogeny.

He also worked behind the scenes in the industry in several capacities and developed a working partnership with director/performer Karen Dior.

Nikas was also a lifelong artist with a passion for photography.
